Y-TOWN SMASH #15

Welcome to Y-Town Smash #15!

Y-Town Smash is a local community that hosts monthly Super Smash Bros. Ultimate events in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

YTS #15 is at the community room at the Yarmouth Mariners Centre! Come on out for some singles and doubles.

Additional events may include crew battles, feature matches, or other non-standard formats depending on time and interest. Join our discord if you haven’t already if you want to get in on the community!

• DATE: Saturday, March 1st 2025
• REGISTRATION ENDS: 11:30 AM on the Day of the event
• EVENT TIMES:
  • 11:00 AM: Doors open for bringing in setups and warm up games.
  • 11:45 AM: Payment and check-in
  • Noon: Games begin – both singles and squad strike. Squad Strike takes priority at the beginning and Singles round robin games will be called if players are not in a Squad Strike set.
• PRIZES:
  • Squad Strike: $1 per entry of each Squad Strike player goes into a prize pool.
    • 1st: 70%
    • 2nd: 30%
  • Singles: $2 per entry of each singles player goes into a prize pool which is split between the top 3 players:
    • 1st: 50%
    • 2nd: 30%
    • 3rd: 20%
• BRING YOUR OWN: Controller and connection cable. We will have GameCube adapters provided. All of our stations have audio setups, bring wired headphones if you would like to plug-in!
• ENTRY FEE: A $5 tournament entry fee will be collected from registered players at the start of the event. Entry fees will be split between prizing and a community fund which will be used to purchase required equipment for future events.
  • Payment types accepted:
    • Cash
    • e-transfer – e-transfer is now being accepted prior to the event. Please reach out to Malcolm (MJS) on the Y-Town Smash Discord to coordinate payment before the event.
• SPECTATORS: At no cost, feel free to come out and watch the action.
