Fish Point Historical Site

A Must-Stop for Visitors & History Buffs

Fish Point Historical Site is located just outside the nearby working fishing village of Yarmouth Bar, and is on the way to the Cape Forchu Lighthouse. It’s home to the Lost to the Sea Memorial and contains interpretative panels documenting the little-known history of the Yarmouth Bar area including Fish Point, Bunker Island, the Beacon (Bug) Light, Stanwood’s Beach, and Yarmouth Bar.

With breathtaking views of the harbor and plenty of benches to rest and admire the peaceful scenery, Fish Point Historical Site is a must-stop for visitors and history buffs. The site itself is maintained by the Yarmouth County Historical Society.
