The Argyle Historical Baptist Church was built circa 1877 and is representative of rural Protestant Churches erected by New England Planters. This particular location is significant, in that genealogical records and fieldstones in the accompanying graveyard date to 1762. It is rare to find so many fieldstones as intact as in this location.
